OLD TIME TOYS  is now making wooden stanchions to put along the sides of G (or any other gauge) trestles.  The stanchions come with or without LED lighting at the top of the stanchion.  With battery powered LED's at the top of them, they are even more interesting. Between the stanchions you can put 1/4" dowels or colored cord "cable", or model chain.  OLD TIME TOYS has put the stanchions (using dowels between them ) along the outer edge of our in shop, ceiling hung G Loop. Now, in the event of derailment, the trains will not fall off the track support. The  stanchions are made of whatever kind of wood you desire.  They are 3/4" square and about 6" high (or any height you specify).  One wood screw fastens the stanchion to the edge of your trestle or track support. With the LED sighted stanchions, your outdoor (even indoor) layout will be illuminated at night.  With rechargeable batteries and a photocell in the circuit, the LED lighting should last indefinitely.  The lighted stanchions make a colorful addition to any outdoor layout, since the LED's can be obtained in almost any color desired.
